If you’re reading this post, it means I’m not dead – and what’s more, you’ve made it into Spooky Season 2025. Hurrah! Here’s wishing you a wonderful Diwali, a great Samhuin, a celebratory Dia de los Muertos or a suitably gloomy Goth Christmas!
Now to the bad news. If you follow me on Bluesky, you may have seen that I’m no longer attending World Fantasycon in Brighton this month. This is down to those ancient fiends, ‘unforseen circumstances’, but hopefully taking the hit will mean more from me very soon. Stay tuned.
So, here’s a little something both as an apology and a wee gift for my own birthday this month. ‘Halloween Americana‘ (“Halloween tunes, Americana NOT guaranteed. Monster Mash Vibes Only.”) brings together some of my favourite rock, metal, punk and pop party tracks of the season.
I’ve had some revelatory chats with music pals recently and I’ve really enjoyed doing this, so I’m wondering whether to make it a regular-ish thing… What do you reckon?
