Game Studies India Talk

Hey folks! Just a quick heads up about a talk I’ll be doing with Darshana Jayemanne (Abertay University) on Monday 26th July as part of Game Studies India‘s current schedule of talks.

“Ludographic Metafiction”, Metaverses, and the Ecocriticism of FFVII: Remake expands on the talk we gave at this year’s ICFA about the developments in fan and climate change discourse since the original game and how Final Fantasy VII: Remake entangles and reinforces these through the metafiction of the game.

Game Studies India hosts weekly talks, blogs, interviews and more as part of its aim of connecting Game Studies scholars and helping to develop the field in India. We’re delighted to be joining organizers Souvik Mukherjee (Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta) and Poonam Chowdhury (Hyderabad University) during the inaugural year of this exciting new network.

We’ll be kicking off at 7:00pm IST (2:30pm BST, 11:30pm AEST, 10:30pm JST) on Monday 26th July. Click here to join the Facebook event.
